ধর্মান্তর সমস্যার রেস কাটতে না কাটতেই এবার হরিনাম সংকীর্তনে বাধা।
মুর্শিদাবাদের বেলডাঙা থানার কালীতলা গ্রামে হিন্দুদের হরিনাম সংকীর্তনে বাধা। হুমকি দিয়ে বলে দেয়া হয়েছে কীর্তন নিয়ে বাইরে বেরুলে বোমা মেরে উড়িয়ে দেয়া হবে। এতে করে বাঙালী হিন্দুরা ভয়ে কীর্তন বন্ধ করে থানার শরনাপন্ন হয়েছেন।
দুই দিন আগে মালদার কালিয়াচক থানার আইসি গ্রামের গরিব হিন্দুদের ধর্মান্তরিত হওয়ার জন্য চাপ দিয়েছেন। মালদা মুর্শিদাবাদ মুসলিম সংখ্যাগরিষ্ঠ জেলা। এখানে বাংলাদেশের মতোই হিন্দুরা বাড়িঘর বিক্রি করে রাজ্যের অন্যত্র চলে যাচ্ছে। বিশেষ করে যে গ্রামগুলোতে হিন্দু সংখ্যালঘু। যেখানে থানার আইসি হিন্দুদের ধর্মান্তরিত হওয়ার জন্য চাপ দেয় সেখানে হিন্দুরা কি করবে না পালিয়ে? হিন্দুদের পালানোর অভ্যাস জন্মগত। তারা দেশভাগের সময় পূর্ব-বঙ্গ থেকে পালিয়ে এসেছে পঃবঙ্গে। এখন পঃবঙ্গ থেকে আবার তাদের পালাতে হচ্ছে। তবু একবার ভাবছে না দেখি রুখে দাড়িয়ে কি হয়।
আবার অন্যদিকে এই দুটি জেলার সংখ্যাগরিষ্ঠ মানুষগুলোর একটি বড় অংশ অনুপ্রবেশ করে পঃবঙ্গে এসে স্থায়ী নাগরিকের মর্যাদা পেয়ে নিশ্চিন্ত। তাদের না আছে উদবাস্তু হবার ভয় না আছে দেশ হারানোর ভয়। কারণ তাদের জোড়েই পঃবঙ্গের সরকার গঠিত হয়। সুতরাং তারা হিন্দুদের হরিনাম সংকীর্তনে বাধা দেবে, ধর্মান্তরিত হবার জন্য প্ররোচনা দেবে এতে আশ্চর্য হবার কিছু নেই।
বরং আশ্চর্য হবার ঘটনা হচ্ছে গত ঈদের সময় দুর্যোগপূর্ণ আবহাওয়ার জন্য কেরল এবং দক্ষিণ মুম্বাইয়ে দুর্গা মন্দির খুলে দেয়া হয়েছিল মুসলমানদের নামাজ আদায়ের জন্য। তখন সেটা হয়েছে সাম্প্রদায়িক সম্প্রীতির উজ্জ্বল নিদর্শন আর মুর্শিদাবাদ মালদায় যা হচ্ছে তাহল ইসলামের কর্তব্য পালন।
