ভারতীয় এই হেঁদু লিবারাল দাদা আরো বলছেন, ভারতকে স্বাধীন করতে যদি দশজন হিন্দু প্রাণ দিয়ে থাকে তাহলে ৯০ জন মুসলমান প্রাণ দিয়েছিলো। এই ইতিহাস নাকি বিজেপি আরএসএস মুছে ফেলেছে! অথচ মুসলিম লীগের অন্যতম লিডার, সাংবাদিক, লেখক আবুল মনসুর আহমদ তার বিখ্যাত বই ‘আমার দেখা রাজনীতির পঞ্চাশ বছর’ বইতে লিখেছেন, মুসলমানরা ভারতের স্বাধীনতা চায়নি। তাদের মূল আগ্রহ ছিলো তর্কি খিলাফত নিয়ে। সেই খিলাফত ও তার খলিফাকে রক্ষার জন্যই তারা গান্ধির সমর্থন পাওয়ার আশ্বাসে অসহোযোগ আন্দোলনে যোগ দিয়েছিলো। পরে খিলাফত বিলুপ্ত হয়ে গেলে মুসলমানদেরও আর আগ্রহ থাকেনি ভারতের স্বাধীনতা নিয়ে।
আত্মসমালোচনা করে আবুল মনসুর আহমদ এই স্বীকারোক্তি করেছিলেন। মুসলিম লীগের একজন বলছেন তারা ভারতের স্বাধীনতা চায়নি!
এই কমিউনিস্টরাই ‘ওহাবী আন্দোলনের’ নাম দিয়েছিলো ‘স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রাম’! তীতুমীরের মত একটা ইসলামিক জিহাদীকে ‘স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রামী’ হিসেবে সবার কাছে পরিচিত করতে চেয়েছে। হাজি শরীয়তুল্লাহ-তীতুমীর-দুদুমিয়ারা এই বঙ্গে হিন্দুয়ানী বিরোধী আন্দোলন করে বাঙালি মুসলমানকে তাদের সংস্কৃতি থেকে বিচ্যুত করে ফেলে। হিন্দুদের সঙ্গে বিরোধ তৈরি করে নিজেদের স্বাতন্ত্র্যতা তৈরির আন্দোলন ছিলো ওহাবী আন্দোলন। আজকে যাদের সালাফি বা আহলে হাদিস হিসেবে চেনে তীতুমীর-শরীয়তুল্লাহ ছিলেন সেই মতবাদের আদিপুরুষ। তাদেরকে স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রামী বলে আমাদের সামনে পরিচিত করেছে এই বামগুলি। তাদের ছানাপোনারা যখন আমাদের ইসলাম শেখাতে আসে, ইতিহাস শেখাতে আসে, বিজেপি আরএসএসের ইতিহাস বলে সত্যকে মুছে ফেলে তখন ভারতের হিন্দুদের কপালে দুঃখ আছে বলতেই হবে!

সেই মোতাবেক দেশবন্ধু যখন কোলকাতার মেয়র নির্বাচিত হন তখন তার ডেপুটি করা হয় হোসেন শহীদ সোহরাওয়ার্দীকে। বেঙ্গল প্যাক্ট আদৌ হিন্দু মুসলমান ঐক্য নয় বরং বিবাদমান দুটি শত্রুর মাঝে শান্তি চুক্তি হচ্ছে বলেই মনে হয়। বস্তুত এরকম চুক্তি করে কখনোই ঐক্য করা সম্ভব নয়।
বেঙ্গল প্যাক্টের চুক্তির এই ধারাগুলির দিকে একটু তাকান
