বাংলাদেশের হিন্দুরা কি আদৌ ভালো আছে
স্বর্গীয়া সুষমা স্বরাজ ভারতের পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী থাকাকালে, এক টুইট বার্তায়- বাংলাদেশে পর পর বেশ কয়েকজন সংখ্যালঘু ধর্মযাজক হত্যায় উদ্বেগ প্রকাশ করেছিলেন। তখন বাংলাদেশে তীব্র প্রতিবাদের ঝড় উঠেছিল যে, কোন দেশের অভ্যন্তরীণ বিষয়ে অন্য দেশের দায়িত্বশীল ব্যক্তিদের মন্তব্য করা উচিত নয়। একমাত্র সুষমা স্বরাজ ছাড়া, ভারত সরকারের অন্য কোনো দায়িত্বশীল ব্যক্তিকে- বাংলাদেশের সংখ্যালঘু নির্যাতনের বিরুদ্ধে আজ পর্যন্ত কথা বলতে শুনিনি।
বিগত শারদীয় দুর্গোৎসবের সময় যখন বাংলাদেশে সাম্প্রদায়িক তাণ্ডব চলছিল, তখন বাংলাদেশের প্রধানমন্ত্রী- ভারতকে হুশিয়ার করে দিয়েছিলেন এই বলে যে, সেখানে যেন সাম্প্রদায়িক পরিস্থিতির অবনতি না ঘটে। বাংলাদেশের শিক্ষামন্ত্রী ভারত সফরকালে বিগত ২২মে 'ইন্ডিয়া আইডিয়াস কনক্লেভ' সেমিনারে প্রদত্ত ভাষণে ― ভারতীয় সংখ্যালঘুদের নিরাপত্তা নিশ্চিত করার জন্য বলেছেন।

ভারত সরকারের পক্ষ থেকে কেউ প্রতিক্রিয়া ব্যক্ত করতে সাহস পায়নি। বরং ভারতের প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদি, বাংলাদেশের সাম্প্রদায়িক সম্প্রীতির উচ্চকণ্ঠে প্রশংসা করেছেন। (2021 DurgaPuja in Bangladesh)
একটু খেয়াল করলেই দেখবেন, ভারতের ৯০% সাম্প্রদায়িক দাঙ্গা সংঘটিত হয়, হিন্দুরা যেখানে সংখ্যালঘু সেখানে। এবং সাম্প্রদায়িক দাঙ্গায় হিন্দুরাই সবচেয়ে বেশি ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়। আর সমস্ত অপবাদ চাপানো হয় হিন্দুদের ঘাড়ে। অর্থাৎ হিন্দুরা মার খায়, আবার মারের দামও দেয়! অবশ্য এজন্য দায়ী হিন্দুদের অযোগ্যতা।
আমার প্রশ্ন হচ্ছে, প্রতিবেশী দেশের কোন মন্ত্রী, পাকিস্তান সফরে গিয়ে সেখানকার সংখ্যালঘুদের নিরাপত্তা দিতে বলতে পারবেন? যদি বলেন, তাহলে তার ভাষণ কী তৎক্ষণাৎ থামিয়ে দেওয়া হবে না?
বাংলাদেশ ও পাকিস্তান সরকার জোর গলায় দাবি করে থাকে যে, উভয় দেশে দৃষ্টান্তমূলক সাম্প্রদায়িক সম্প্রীতি বিদ্যমান। এ এমন সাম্প্রদায়িক সম্প্রীতি - দেশ বিভাগের সময় অবিভক্ত পাকিস্তানে সাড়ে 3.5 কোটি হিন্দু ছিল। সাম্প্রদায়িক সম্প্রীতির দুগ্ধ ও অমৃত পান করতে করতে, বাংলাদেশ ও পাকিস্তান মিলিয়ে মাত্র দেড় কোটি হিন্দু- কোন রকমে টিকে থাকতে পেরেছে। পক্ষান্তরে দেশভাগের সময় ভারতেও সাড়ে তিন কোটি মুসলমান ছিল। ভারতে নাকি সাম্প্রদায়িক সম্প্রীতি নেই; তাহলে ভারতের সেই সাড়ে তিন কোটি মুসলমান বেড়ে আজ তেইশ কোটি হলো কিভাবে?

The governments of Bangladesh and Pakistan strongly claim that exemplary communal harmony exists in both the countries. This is communal harmony - there were 3.5 crore Hindus in undivided Pakistan at the time of partition. By drinking the milk and nectar of communal harmony, only one and a half crore Hindus in Bangladesh and Pakistan have somehow been able to survive.
