শেখ হাসিনা হিন্দুদের কাছ থেকে জিজিয়া কর নিয়ে তাদের স্পেশাল সিকিউরিটি দিন! এটা রাগের ক্ষোভের কথা নয়। ইসলামী হুকুমতে অমুসলিমদের নিরাপত্তা কর হচ্ছে জিজিয়া। এটা চালু হলে তখন মুসলিম শাসক অমুসলিমদের হামলা নির্যাতন থেকে সুরক্ষা দেন। রাষ্ট্রের কোন মুসলমান তাদের নিপীড়ত করলে খলিফা তাদের শাস্তি দেন। অমুসলিমরা জিজিয়া দিয়ে মুসলমানদের কাছে “আমানত” হিসেবে রক্ষিত হয়। একই সঙ্গে আরো একটি আইন বাংলাদেশে পাশ করা হোক, কোন অমুসলিম বড় কোন পদে মুসলমানদের উপর বসতে পারবে না। যেমন স্কুলের হেড মাস্টার, কলেজের অধ্যক্ষ, বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের উপাচার্য এই পদগুলিতে হিন্দু বৌদ্ধ খ্রিস্টানরা বসতে পারবে না। তাহলে কারোর গলায় আর জুতার মালা পড়বে না, ছাত্রদের হাতে লাঞ্ছিত হতে হবে না। কান ধরতে হবে না।
এগুলো কোন রাগের কথা নয়। ঠান্ডা মাথায় ভেবে দেখুন, কেউ তার জন্মভূমি ছেড়ে অন্য কোথাও যেতে চায় না। পাকিস্তানের মাটি কাঁমড়ে এখনো যে ক্ষুদ্র সংখ্যক হিন্দু খ্রিস্টান রয়ে গেছে তারা পাকিস্তান ছাড়ছে না কেন? নিজের গ্রাম ছেড়ে কে কোথায় যেতে চায়? রাষ্ট্রের নাম যেটাই রাখেন, সংবিধান যা-ই বানান, জন্মস্থান তো আর পাল্টে যায় না। ‘মুসলমানদের দেশ’ পূর্ব পাকিস্তান থেকেও হিন্দুরা সব চলে যায়নি। নিরুপায় মধ্যবিত্ত আর দরিদ্ররা কোথায় যাবে? তাদের জিজিয়া কর নিয়ে বাঁচতে দিন। তারা যেন শুক্রবার ভীতগ্রস্থ না থাকে। তৌহদী জনতার টার্গেট যেন তারা না হয়। তাদের সাংবিধানিকভাবে তৃতীয় শ্রেণীর নাগরিক করে দিন তবু তাদের একটা নিশ্চয়তায় শান্তিতে তাদের মত করে বাস করতে দিন।

হিন্দুদের নিজেদের মধ্যে বড় রকমের সমস্যা রয়ে গেছে। হিন্দুদের আত্মসমালোচনা হোক বা না হোক সত্য বলে যাই। ভারতে মুঘল আক্রমন চিঠি লিখে ডেকে এনেছিলেন যিনি তিনি আর কেউ না একজন হিন্দু রাজা! তার প্রতিপক্ষকে ঘায়েল করতে বাবুরকে আক্রমন করতে উশকানি দিয়ে চিঠি দিয়েছিলেন। বাবুর পানিপথের যুদ্ধে জয় করে সেই হিন্দু রাজাকেও আক্রমন করে মুসলিম সাম্রাজ্য স্থাপন শুরু করে। নড়াইলে শুনেছি সে জায়গাটা হিন্দু অধ্যুষিত। তাহলে সেখানে তৌহদী জনতা পেড়ে উঠল কিভাবে? দেশভাগের সময় খুলনা ছিলো হিন্দু সংখ্যাগরিষ্ঠ অঞ্চল। সে খুলনাকে একা খান এ সবুর জিহাদের তরবারী দিয়ে হিন্দু শূন্য করে খুলনাকে পাকিস্তানের সঙ্গে জুড়ে দেন। এগুলো হিন্দুদের কাপুরুষতা! অন্যের পুড়ছে আমার কি? আমি তো নিরাপদ। এরা বড় জোর ওপাড়ে চলে যাবে যাদের টাকা পয়সা ভালো আছে। ওপাড়ে গিয়ে থিতু হয়ে বসতে পারলে আমাকেই তখন ‘শালা হিন্দুত্ববাদী’ বলে গালি দিবে। কারণ দেশভাগের পর বিড়াড়িত হিন্দুরা দলে দলে কমিউনিস্ট হয়ে গিয়েছিলো। আর অবিভক্ত ভারতবর্ষের হিন্দুদের তুলনায় বঞ্চিত দাবী করে মুসলমান বানিয়েছিলো ‘মুসলিম লীগ’।
ঋত্বিক ঘটক তার সিনেমায় দেশভাগের যন্ত্রণাই তুলে ধরেছিলেন, মুসলিম লীগকে তুলে ধরেননি। যদি তুলে ধরতেন তাহলে ঋত্বিকের হাতেই তৈরি হতো ‘পূর্ববঙ্গ ফাইলস’! ঋত্বিক হতেন অরুন্ধতী অমর্ত্য সেনদের মত হিন্দুদের কাছে ‘হিন্দুত্ববাদী’! পোলানোস্কি নিজে ইহুদী হওয়ার কারণে ন্যাতসিদের কাছে যে নিপীড়ন নির্যাতিত হোন তাই নিয়ে বানালের বিখ্যাত সিনেমা ‘পিয়ানোনিস্ট’! তাকে কোন ইহুদী বলেনি ‘জায়োনিস্ট’। নোয়াখালী ম্যাসাকার নিয়ে সিনেমা বানালে তাকে আরএসএস বিজেপি ছাপ হিন্দু বলবে হিন্দুরাই! এখানেই তফাত। নড়াইলের ঘটনাও দ্রুত মুছে গিয়ে তাই ভেসে উঠবে অসাম্প্রদায়িক বাংলাদেশে হিন্দু মুসলমান হাত ধরাধরি করে মানববন্ধন করছে!
