Chandnaish School President-Hindu Headmaster is running away under the threat of A'League leaders

Milton Kanti Biswas, the head teacher of the Hindu religion of the school, is forced to leave the school and live under the threat of Awami League leader Shakhawat Hossain Shibli and his followers.

Victim Milton Kanti Biswas told Anveshan News, "During the election of the school's managing committee, the current president was asking me to work for him. I said that I am the headmaster and I cannot work for anyone. After he won the election, he held a meeting with the teachers and threatened me with abuse and threats. Asked me to leave the school with attached resignation letter. Threatened to tie me to a tree. From then on the president's goons threatened me and stopped me from entering the school. Dismissed me at will. Withheld my salary. Remaining. Threatened teachers not to contact me. I sued to save my job."

He also said, "I am a victimized head teacher. The managing committee has threatened to file a case against me. They will move the case politically. I will not get a case. Even my salary has been stopped. I am a teacher, I have not bowed down to injustice. And I will not do it. What is on my forehead. I want to live as a conscience teacher of the nation among all. I want to abolish the managing committee system. My 2 daughters and 1 son have stopped my salary for 5 months. I am in great trouble with my family. Meanwhile, I am sued. Pushing to lift. Save me and my family."

Besides, he complained to the Upazila Education Officer, District Education Officer, Board, UNO, District Administrator, local MP and other administrations to get justice but did not get any remedy. Upazila Aceland teacher Milton Kanti advised Biswas to move to another place within three months.

In the protest rally organized at Cheragi Pahar intersection of Chittagong city on July 16, Rana Dasgupta, Central General Secretary of Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Oikya Parishad, mentioned the incident of harassment and torture of teacher Milton Kanti Biswas and said, 'Milton Kanti Biswas, the principal of Khan Dighirpar High School in Chandnaish, along with the president of the management committee of the school, was arrested by the Awami League. Some leaders continue to harass. I demand to stop this harassment immediately.

It should be noted that a group of radical Muslims have been systematically harassing and torturing Hindu teachers for the past few years. Apart from this, the leaders and workers of the ruling Awami League are also seen leading the torture of religious minority teachers. Human rights activists fear that if this situation continues, the country's educational institutions will soon be empty of religious minority teachers.
