23 houses of minority tribal Munda community vandalized and attacked in Shyamnagar
Miscreants vandalized and attacked 23 houses of minority tribal Munda community in Satkhira Shyamnagar Dhumghat (Antakhali) area. Miscreants also mutilate women with sharp weapons, leaving them bloody and injured.
Phonindra Nath Munda, son of Mr. Shyamapada Munda, filed a case against 22 persons named in Shyamnagar police station against 160-170 others, Case No. 38/351, dated 20 August 2022.
According to the statement of the plaintiff, it is known that on August 19, 2022, around 8 o'clock in the morning, defendant 1. Rashidul, 2. Ebadul Sardar, 3. Feroze, 4. Makim Mahajan, 5. Islam, 6. 160/170 terrorists under the leadership of Rabiul Islam and armed with sharp weapons, Chinese axes, ramadas, hasua, iron rods, iron sabers, bamboo sticks, etc. rushed to occupy the tribal lands. At that time, when the people of the minority community tried to stop the terrorists from occupying the land, they were hacked to death and injured. And molested the women by pulling their clothes and snatched the gold ornaments and damaged 100 kg of paddy seed by plowing it with a power tiller.
Accused No. 1 Rashidul threatened and said that you have to leave this land or else I will kill you. As the accused were heavily armed, no one dared to come forward to rescue the victims. At that time, the plaintiff informed the police of Shyamnagar police station on the mobile phone, as soon as the police came to the spot after receiving the information, the accused quickly left the spot and ran away, the police visited the spot. Later, with the help of locals, the victims were admitted to the upazila health complex in a van, where they are currently undergoing treatment. The accused have already grabbed many lands of the minorities.
The victims are 1. Bilashi Rani Munda (35) 2. Reena Munda (36) 3. Suujata Munda (30) 4. Narendra Nath Munda (65).
The accused are 1 of village Patkola of Banshipur, Grifalkati upazila. Rashidul (45), son of the chief of dead cows, 2. Ebadul Sardar (50) 3. Firoz son of Munchur Ali (30) 4. Makim Mahajan son of Firoz Mahajan (40) Jainak 5. Islam (50) 6. Siddiq's son Rabiul Islam (40) 7. Akkash Ali son of Akbar Ali (48) 8. Shoaib Ghazi (36), son of Quader Ghazi, 9. Alamgir Gazi's son Nur Hossain (26) 10. Adam Ali son of Tuulu Ali (30) 11. Akbar Ghazi's son Ashraf Ghazi (48) 12. Chunnat Gazi's son Rashidul (40), Jainak 13. Babu (28), Jainak 14. Israfil (27), Jainak 15. Alamgir (28), Jainak 16. Akbar (24), Jainak 17. Emdad (22), Jainak 18. Rashidul (29), Jainak 19. Feroze (30), Jainak 20. Kamrul (38), 21. Shafiqul Gazi (30), son of Gafur Gazi, 22. Alamgir's son Noor Mohammad (22) and 160/170 other unidentified people.
