বাংলাদেশে জন্মাষ্টমীর দিনে মুন্ডা পল্লীতে নারকীয় তাণ্ডব | মুন্ডাদের অস্তিত্ব সংকটে
সুন্দরবনের আদিবাসী সনাতনী জনগোষ্ঠী সাতক্ষীরার মুন্ডা পল্লীতে নারকীয় তাণ্ডবে আহত নরেন মুন্ডার মৃত্যু হয়েছে।
শুক্রবার সকালে উপজেলার ধুমঘাট অনতাখালী মুন্ডাপল্লিতে তাণ্ডব চালায় প্রায় ২০০ লাঠিয়াল। অভিযোগ রয়েছে, মুন্ডা সম্প্রদায়ের আট বিঘা জমির মালিকানা দাবি করে আসছেন শ্রীফলা গ্রামের আব্দুল গফুর সরদারের ছেলে রাশিদুল ইসলাম ও এবাদুল হোসেন।
এ জমি দখলে নিতে তাঁদের ভাড়া করা যুবলীগ নেতা ফিরোজ আহমেদ ও উপজেলা তরুণ লীগের সভাপতি আব্দুল আলিমের নেতৃত্বে বংশীপুর, ঈশ্বরীপুরসহ উপজেলার বিভিন্ন এলাকার লাঠিয়ালরা হামলা চালায়।
সাতক্ষীরা জজ কোর্টের আইনজীবী অ্যাড. অসীম কুমার মন্ডল জানান, ১৯৫০ সালের প্রজাস্বত্ব আইন অনুযায়ি মুন্ডাদের জমি হস্তান্তর নিষিদ্ধ। তবে জেলা কালেক্টর বা জেলা প্রশাসক ওই জমি হস্তান্তরের অনুমতি দিলেই তা হস্তান্তর সম্ভব হবে।
তবে দীর্ঘদিন ধরে এলাকার ক্ষমতাসীন আওয়ামী লীগ নেতাসহ বিভিন্ন প্রভাবশালীরা মুন্ডাদের পদবী পরিবর্তন করে তাদের জমি কিনে নিচ্ছেন। ক্ষেত্র বিশেষ জেলা প্রশাসকের অনুমতিপত্র জালিয়াতিও করা হয়েছে। ফলে মুন্ডা সম্প্রদায় এখন অস্তিত্ব সংকটে।

Infernal rampage in Munda village on Janmashtami day in Bangladesh
Naren Munda, who was injured in the hellish rampage, died in Munda village of Satkhira, a tribal community of Sundarbans. About 200 lathials went on a rampage in Mundapalli, Dhumghat Antakhali of the upazila on Friday morning. Allegedly, Rashidul Islam and Ebadul Hossain, sons of Abdul Gafur Sardar of Srifla village, have been claiming ownership of eight bigha land of Munda community. To occupy this land, under the leadership of Jubo League leader Firoz Ahmed and Upazila Tarun League president Abdul Alim, the Lathials from different areas of the upazila, including Banshipur, Ishwaripur, attacked. Satkhira Judge Court lawyer Adv. Asim Kumar Mandal said, according to Tenancy Act of 1950, transfer of land to Mundas is prohibited. However, the transfer will be possible only if the district collector or district administrator gives permission to transfer the land. However, for a long time, various influential people including the ruling Awami League leader of the area are changing the title of the Mundas and buying their land. The permission of the district special commissioner has also been forged. As a result, the Munda community is now in crisis of existence.
