According to local sources, a group of Muslim terrorists led by Babul Mia, the son of the deceased Shakyadar Ali, tied the Hindu fisherman named Tapan Sarkar to a tree in Sukhair Quichhati village for breaking fishing nets.

Victim Tapan Sarkar said, "I was beaten to a tree under the leadership of Babul Mia of Quichhati village. I was freed by the efforts of the Babul member."


Local UP member resident Babul Mia said, "Helal was brought to Sukhair sub-health center on Friday afternoon for treatment. And I came to know that Tapan was tied to a tree in Quichhati village. Later I arranged to release him."


Dharmapasha police station OC Mohammad Mizanur Rahman said, "I have heard the matter." Necessary action will be taken if a written complaint is received in this regard.
