Rangunia Bangladesh broke the lock of the temple and stole it

A theft has taken place at Sri Sri Magadheswari Shiva temple in Chittagong's Rangunia. In this, miscreants stole necessary furniture including electric lights of the temple's passageway.

The incident took place at Shri Sri Magadheswari Shiva Mandir on the north side of the Chittagong-Kaptai road in the old woman's shop of Pomra Union of the upazila late on Tuesday (August 9). Said temple priest Bimal Chakraborty.

Miscreants broke the lock of the donation box on the side of the Kaptai road at the entrance of the temple and stole the money and stole the bulb from the lighting pillar of the entrance. Bimal Chakraborty, the priest of the temple, claims that they have taken about 50,000 TK worth of items needed for the puja.

He said, yesterday at 10 pm, the temple was locked and went home. In the morning, I found that the lock of the donation box at the entrance had been broken. Even the donation box inside the temple was broken and money was stolen. Temple lighting pillars were broken. It was stolen two months ago. Then the local UP members and the police station administration were also informed about the theft.

Locals said that thefts have increased in the area recently. Earlier there was a theft of a sawmill (sawmill) in an old woman's shop. However, no one can be identified to show who did the theft.

Local UP member Iqbal Hossain Saddam said, I have heard about the theft of the temple. It has been stolen many times before. Once the thieves were caught red-handed, local influential people rescued them. Due to which thefts are happening repeatedly. Efforts are underway to identify the miscreants with the help of locals.

Rangunia Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mahabub Milki said that no complaint has been received regarding theft in the temple yet. If the victim complains, legal action will be taken after investigation.
